Tesla Model S A/C Failure Fixed Same Day: Real Road-Trip Rescue at PROFIX
Tesla Model S A/C Failure and Supercharging Disabled: A Proper Diagnosis Saves the Day
When your Tesla’s air conditioning quits in the middle of a long summer drive, the clock starts ticking fast. That’s exactly what happened to a 2017 Tesla Model S 90D heading from Austin toward California. The owner made it to Leon’s PROFIX Auto Repair in Norman, and we got the car in the same day.

What We Found During the Tesla A/C Diagnostic
The customer reported the A/C was completely out and Supercharging was disabled. Our technician put the Tesla into service mode, ran a full thermal system test, and confirmed the compressor was offline. System pressures were around 110 PSI (still had refrigerant), but several alerts were active, including compressor communication faults and a failed multi-purpose relay (K101).
After isolating the circuit, we confirmed the relay controlling the compressor had failed. We replaced it with a new multi-purpose relay, restored power, and brought the thermal system back online. The compressor came to life, the A/C cooled properly again, and the Supercharger-related alerts cleared.
The Result
A/C restored. No active alerts related to the climate system or charging. The Tesla was ready to continue the road trip.

Why Proper Tesla Diagnosis Matters
Tesla climate and thermal systems are tightly integrated with the high-voltage battery and Supercharging system. A simple “A/C not working” complaint can quickly turn into a Supercharger disabled situation if the root cause isn’t diagnosed correctly.
At Leon’s PROFIX Auto Repair, we use the proper Tesla service tools, read the full alert list, and test the actual circuits instead of guessing.
Same-day Tesla A/C diagnosis and repair on a road-trip car is what we aim for whenever the schedule allows. Honest recommendations are part of the job too — we’d rather tell you what’s coming than leave you stranded later.
If your Tesla Model S, Model 3, Model Y, or Model X is having A/C problems, Supercharger issues, or thermal system faults, bring it to Leon’s PROFIX Auto Repair in Norman. We’ll get you in, find the real problem, and get you back on the road.
